Whether you are a songwriter creating a New Song through TRACKSHOP (adding melody & lyric) or a Lyricist creating a New Song through MELODYSHOP (adding lyrics only), the process you must follow is exactly the same:
1.Listen and find the right Track you want to download
2.Download that Track (you can only download if you are a Member.Membership is Free) Download fees are $10 or $25, depending on your Membership Level.
3.Create your Song (by adding melody & lyrics to a TrackShop Track or just lyrics to a MelodyTrack)
4.Vault Date:Return your original Melody & Lyric or original Lyric Only PLUS the name of the Track you downloaded (the Track ID #) for Vault Dating via e-mail to or via our Upload MP3s link.We accept MP3’s and Word Docs, or lyrics in e-mail. Once received, Songsinc will e-mail you back a Vault Date Notification confirming receipt. Remember, the New Song cannot be worked or copyrighted without first being Vault Dated.
5.TRACKSHOP New Song Demo:Once Songsinc confirms the Vault Date, you will be allowed to promote your New Song (melody & lyric) as well as the New Song Demo (New Song created with the Songsinc Track).
6.MELODYSHOP New Song Demo:Once Songsinc confirms the Vault Date, you will be sent the clean version of the MelodyTrack you downloaded to use in the creation of your New Song Demo.This is the MelodyTrack without the predominant instrumental melody line.Once your New Song Demo is created, you will be allowed to promote it.
7.New Song Demo Rights:You have full permission to use the recorded New Song Demo for any and all promotional usages such as pitching, streaming, building catalog, etc. When you initiate a Rights Buy-In, not only do you receive greater rights including commercial rights to sell the recording via digital downloads on places like iTunes and CD Baby, you also retain Master Ownership of the New Song Demo Sound Recording which means if that Sound Recording master was placed for sync opportunity (in a film, tv show, commercial, etc.), you would receive all of the Master Use Fee.
